Brean

Status: Dormant location

Overlooking the Bristol Channel, Brean is a large expanse of sand and mud. Extensive tidal flats are popular with walkers and the beach is backed by sea defences. There are no sewer overflows at Brean, however its location in the Severn Estuary means other discharges into the River Severn may affect bathing water quality.
