Whitesands Bay is one of the best surfing beaches in the country and therefore very popular. The beach has a gentle slope, providing safe areas for paddling at low tide. Whitesands Bay include a car park (with a fee in high season), restrooms, a café, and a surfboard rental. Dog restrictions apply to the entire length of the beach between 1st May and 30th September.
